Marc Richard Earns Associate MCPPO
TMS is pleased to announce that Marc Richard, Finance Consultant, has earned Associate Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Officer (MCPPO) for Supplies and Services Contracting status. This distinction is given by the Inspector General’s Office to applicants who complete the necessary training and pass a rigorous exam. Mr. Richard currently provides TMS business management services to the Greenfield Commonwealth Virtual School and TEC Connections Academy (TECCA), Massachusetts’ two fully online virtual schools. TMS Welcomes Southern Berkshire Regional Schools as a Client
TMS is pleased to welcome the Southern Berkshire Regional School District as a client, as of July 22, 2019. We will be providing business management services to the district. Judy Houle, TMS Vice President of Operations, and Chris Desjardins, TMS Director of Business Services, will be the TMS liaisons to SBRSD. We look forward to working with Superintendent Beth Regulbuto and her team.
Michael DeBarge joins TMS as an Associate Consultant
Michael DeBarge has joined the TMS Team as an Associate Consultant for Business Services and Special Projects. Mike previously worked as an intern for the company, assisting on a regional feasibility study.
Mike graduated from Belchertown High School in 2015, and went on to attend Providence College. He graduated from PC in 2019 summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in political science with departmental honors and a minor in history. He was the recipient of the Downing Award for Excellence in American politics, and was the highest ranked political science major in the Class of 2019. He will begin pursuing his MSc in Conflict Studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science in the Fall of 2020.
Mike will be part of the team providing business services to TMS Clients and will be working on a regionalization study for the town of Ware, MA.

Dr. Houle, TMS Vice President of Entrepreneurship, Earns SFO
TMS is pleased to announce that Dr. Judy Houle, Vice President of Entrepreneurship, has successfully completed the requirements for National Certification as an Administrator of School Finance and Operations (SFO). This program is administered by the Association of School Business Officials International, as a way to recognize leaders in the field of school business administration.
Dr. Houle joins Andrew Paquette, President of TMS, who is Certified as an SFO. Mr. Paquette is also a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), a distinction awarded by the Association of Government Accountants.
Educator Appreciation Week
May 5-11 marks National Educator Appreciation Week. At TMS, we realize the extraordinary efforts our districts’ teachers, leaders, and support staff put forth on behalf of their students. We are all educators or are related to educators and know the personal sacrifices they make to ensure that their students get the highest quality curriculum and instruction in their classrooms, whether brick-and-mortar or online. While this is an annual celebration, we appreciate all of you every day!

Congratulations to TMS Director of Business Operations, Chris Desjardins. He and the Hadley, MA superintendent, Anne McKenzie, received the AASBO Pathways to the Meritorious Budget Award in 2016, a step on the road to earning the Meritorious Budget Award.
